S’mores Are the Way to Go
When you think of classic camping treats, what's the first thing you think of? It’s s’mores, right? S’mores are the most classic and delicious treat that goes with camping so perfectly. Making s’mores anywhere else just doesn’t feel the same as when you’re gathered around a fire roasting the marshmallows with your whole family. However, I’ll show you some ways to mix up these classic treats and put a fresh spin on them.
S’mores Variants
Sometimes it’s nice to switch things up a little. It’s good to try new things even on classics. Here are some of my favorite s’mores variants.
Roasted Marshmallow + White Chocolate Coconut Candy Bar + Graham Crackers
As you can see the only thing different in this one from a normal s’more is the white chocolate coconut candy bar (Lindt Chocolate makes a perfect one of these bars). The idea with this variant is a more tropical taste! I know, I know. You’re thinking, “Tropical in the forest?” To that, I say YES! This s’more tastes amazing no matter where you are.
Roasted Marshmallow + Sliced Strawberry + Dark Chocolate Candy Bar + Graham Crackers
With this one, we are adding some freshness with some fresh sliced strawberries. Not only do you get the taste of strawberries and cream with the marshmallow, but you combine that with the dark chocolate and you have heaven. This one is my personal absolute favorite.
Roasted Marshmallow + Andes Mint And Chocolate Candy + Chocolate Graham Crackers
Yup! This one adds Andes Mints! You know the mints they give you with the check at some restaurants. This variant adds a prominent mint flavor that is absolutely delicious with the rest of the s’more flavors!
Conclusion
Changing up old recipes gives some more spice and flair to your life. It’s always an adventurous thing to just mix things up, and what better way than with a simple treat like s’more. Another great idea is to have everyone on your camping trip bring their own s’mores variant and then share around the campfire. Who knows, you might just find your new favorite way to make s’mores.
